Quote of the Day

Don't worry, be happy!

Taking the Census can be a dangerous job

In the 2010 Census there have been many of the workers who have been disrespected with what they are doing. Some of them have been targeted with being shot at with pellet guns, baseball bats, lawn mowers just to name a few. It seems to be a big misunderstanding when it's time to participate with Census. Some folk are not prepared to give the information about how many person are living in their households. It just flies over their heads when it's said that "you don't have to worry about your immigration, or whether or not you or anyone else in your household will have problems. They (Census) let you know up front that they do not answer to anyone example, the governor, or the mayor. With all the explaining that is being done this should not be happening. What's going to happen in the next ten years?

Daily Motivator

When "Helping" is Hurting
Have you ever lied to protect the reputation of someone you love? Or covered up for them? Or rushed in to "help" without being asked? I'm not talking about acts of compassion where help is genuinely needed; I'm talking about "enabling", which is a destructive kind of helping. It's natural to want to protect a loved one from the painful consequences of their actions. But by letting them off the hook you end up feeling angry and victimized because you did something you didn't want to do; something that wasn't your responsibility. It's said somewhere that it's a mistake to say to the guilty, "you are innocent" By continually rescuing them you lengthen the valley they must go through in order to come out whole on the other side. Sometimes people have to reach the "wretched" stage before they acknowledge their need, just like the prodigal hit bottom before he got serious about his problem. It's called "tough love" for a reason. By crossing the line between caring and caretaking, you hurt the person you're trying to help by implying they can handle the truth or learn their lesson. So back off, and let the chips fall where they may. They are truly loved.

Happy Father's Day!

On Sunday June 20, 2010 will be Father's Day. What do you plan to do with your father on that day? It would be an ideal day if you and your dad could go on a father and son fishing trip together or maybe a brunch together. Whatever you do with your father just make it a beautiful and outstanding day. Have fun in all that you do!
Enjoy!
